RS Pro Steel Straight Edge 1m 877-1797
RS PRO Straight Edge. What is an Engineers Straight Edge?. The RS PRO Straight Edge is a hand tool which is used as a measuring device, known for its extreme accuracy to either draw a straight line or to ensure that a surface is flat. What is a Straight Edge used for?. They are frequently used to check that a machines surface is flat, such as a mating machine, where this is an essential requirement. They can be used as an aid for drawing, cutting or creating a very precise line. They can also be used to check or calibrate the accuracy of other tools that need to have straight edges. They don ‘t have any markings or scales, but they do all have at least one precision edge that is straight. Due to the thickness and design our Straight Edge retains both shape and accuracy, whilst remaining easy to handle and use. They are available in different lengths dependent upon your requirements and the needs for this particular tool. Features and Benefits. Made from Steel Different lengths Very accurate and easy to use Deviation of flatness to DIN874/2 ; VDI/VDE/DGQ2618 Marked with supporting points on side face Both working surfaces and side faces are fine ground All edges are individually marked with a serial number. RS PRO. RS PRO is our own brand range and brings you a wide range of high-quality, great value products offering you more choice. Trusted by engineers all over the world, every part of every RS PRO product has been rigorously tested against demanding industry standards; they ‘re only given the RS PRO seal of approval if we ‘re confident of their exceptional quality, which means you can be confident too.
