Safe isolation procedures state that voltage indicators should be proved against a known source both before and after use. Martindale kit MARVT25/PD contains the VT25 voltage indicator and PD690 proving unit. These instruments are housed in a TC55 carry case with a neck strap, making it easy to carry and use the equipment on site. The VT25 is a two pole LED voltage indicator for use on AC or DC systems, displaying voltages from 12 V to 690 V. Additional functions of this model include audible and optical continuity, phase rotation and a single pole phase test. Safety features include a built-in torch and two layers of insulation on the cable. The inner layer insulation is a contrasting colour to the outer, making it easy to see if there has been any damage to the cable. Safely proving dead requires the use of a voltage indicator and a known live source to test it on, both prior to and after checking for voltage presence. The Martindale VT28 voltage indicator and PD690 proving unit kit offers this capability, ensuring users always have a known source to test against. The VT28 is a two pole voltage indicator with bright LED indication as well as a digital readout on the clear LCD display. It will indicate AC or DC voltages from 12 V to 690 V. Additional tests include audible and optical continuity, single pole phase test and phase rotation testing. Safety features include a built-in torch and dual layer cable insulation.
