• IEC/EN 60079-0, IEC/EN 60079-1, EN1088, IEC 60947-5-1, EN60204-1, ISO 13849-1, EN62061, EN954-1, UL508. Exd IIC T6 (-20 ≤ Ta ≤ +60C) Gb Ex tb IIIC T85C (-20 ≤ Ta ≤ +60C) Db. Ex, ATEX, IEC, IECEx. Not supplied with an actuator. Standard, flat, plastic flexible, heavy duty flexible and hygienic actuators are available separately. The flexible actuators are perfect for tight radius guards. The hygienic actuator is made from stainless steel with a mirror polished finish. IDEM Kobra Explosion Proof Safety Interlock Switches. The Kobra Explosion Proof series from IDEM are tongue operated safety interlock switches that fit to the leading edge of sliding, hinged or lift off machine guards. These safety switches have positively operated switching contacts and a strong tamper resistant key mechanism designed to provide robust position interlock detection for moving guards. Depending upon the risk assessment for the application, the Kobra Explosion Proof switches can be used independently to provide positively operated contacts to EN60947-5-1 or can be used in combination with any dual channel safety monitoring relays to provide up to Category 4 PLe ISO13849-1 or SIL3 EN62061. These safety interlock switches have a rugged stainless steel 316 body and have been designed for use in the Food Processing, Pharmaceutical, Packaging and Petro-Chemical industries where explosive environments may be present. Two versions are available, the K-SS-Ex and KM-SS-Ex, which offer a choice of explosion proof contact blocks and various actuators to aid installation and maintain durability. Positive break contacts to IEC 60947-5-1 High functional safety to ISO 13849-1 Contact blocks can be replaced 2 or 4 pole contact blocks 2NC or 2NC / 2NO High tolerance to guard misalignment Pre-wired 3m cable connection Positively operated ATEX Certified contact blocks For use in hazardous areas IECEx and ATEX EExd IIC T6 (Gas and Dust) The explosion proof contact blocks conform to harmonized standards IEC/EN60079-0 and IEC/EN60079-1 Suitable for European Zones 1, 2, 21, 22 Electrical switching elements are fully encapsulated Rotatable stainless steel 316 head Stainless steel 316 body and external fixings Connects to most safety relays to give up to PLe Cat.4 IP67 protection Resistant to high temperature hosing and detergent washdown Resistance to many organic and inorganic chemicals.
