- 1. During Collision
- When the workpiece collides with the piston rod, the piston is simultaneously pushed in to pressurize the oil in the tube.
- The pressurized oil flows through the groove of its own slit orifice and into the oil chamber where the air chamber is located.
- The piston is pushed further by the thrust of the cylinder, the dead weight of the workpiece, etc., but as the piston moves, the area of the slit orifice gradually decreases, resulting in even higher drag.
- This sequence of operations is performed continuously, and the work is stopped smoothly.
