Compact and lightweight digital sensor using electrostatic coupling of distributed capacitors.
Unlike conventional eddy current type capacitance sensors, this system can be upgraded inexpensively because it does not require a noise resistant A/D converter or a high precision analog amplifier for signal transmission using digital signals.
* EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) Countermeasure: The digital sensor oscillates at approximately 120 MHz when the opposing plates are not facing each other, and at approximately 300 MHz when the opposing plates are close together.
