- Wedge boards (WSB/WSSQ/WSSQK) are also available to prevent backside reflections.
- Newtonian rings are rainbow-colored stripes formed when an optical flat is brought into close contact with a specimen. The shape and number of these stripes can be used to infer the surface shape of the specimen.
- * When used as a Newton master, the sample may be damaged due to contact with the master.
- * Use a laser interferometer or the like to inspect items that cannot be scratched.
- * The number of fringes in the Newton ring is about twice the PV value of the interferometer analysis result.
- * Optical flats are not coated to maintain surface accuracy.
- * The surface accuracy of the optical flat may deteriorate if there are cracks or scratches on the edges.
- * If there are cracks or mold, please replace it with a new one.
