- You can select the necessary optical flat from among the variations which are subdivided by size and various surface accuracy.
- Large optical flats with high surface accuracy use materials with lower thermal expansion than synthetic quartz.
- The face indicated by the side arrow is a highly polished face.
- Optical flats are delivered in a storage case.
- Xerodua (R) is a registered trademark of SCHOTT AG.
- CLEARCERAM (R) is a registered trademark of O'Hara Co., Ltd.
- Wedge boards (WSB/WSSQ/WSSQK) are also available to prevent backside reflections.
- Newtonian rings are rainbow-colored stripes formed when an optical flat is brought into close contact with a specimen. The shape and number of these stripes can be used to infer the surface shape of the specimen.
- * When used as a Newton master, the sample may be damaged due to contact with the master.
- * Use a laser interferometer or the like to inspect items that cannot be scratched.
- * The number of fringes in the Newton ring is about twice the PV value of the interferometer analysis result.
