• We have independently developed a coating agent that has two major features: dramatically improved adhesion of tissue sections and cells, which was not possible with conventional PLL and APS coatings, and hydrophilicity of the coating surface that facilitates section extension work. The coating agent is covalently bonded to OH groups on the glass surface to form a coating film.
• The chemically stable amino group imparts a positive charge to the glass surface, and the amino group density is denser than that of APS coat, improving cell and tissue section adhesion. In particular, it has strong adhesiveness to heat treatments such as microwave and autoclave treatment for frozen sections that are prone to peeling, and it has been confirmed that it is more effective than APS coating in alkaline treatment.
• Hydrophilic coated glass for improving extension Workability of tissue section
• In order to improve the extensibility of tissue sections, MAS-coated slide glasses have both improved adhesion and hydrophilic coating surfaces. As a result, normal extension work can be performed, and compared to APS coating, water drainage between the glass surface and the tissue section is better and drying time can be shortened.
