• Single crystals of silicon used in semiconductors have no absorption at infrared wavelengths of 1.2~6 μm and can be used as optical elements for infrared light.
• It is a window plate made of this silicon crystal.
• Wavelengths below 1 μm are not transmitted, so it can also be used as an infrared light transmission filter.
• It can also be used as a silicon substrate for various experiments.
• Because of its high thermal conductivity, it is also used as a substrate for high-power laser mirrors.
• We also have a ZnSe window plate for infrared that transmits a portion of visible light.
• * The silicon window plate has a metallic luster, and visible light is not reflected or absorbed and transmitted.
• * The transmittance of the silicon window plate is about 53% because there is a loss due to surface reflection (27% per surface [measured value]).
