• This is a toughness model that can be used regardless of the shooting field, such as full-scale waterproofing that can withstand 2 hours of continuous underwater shooting at a depth of 20 m, shock resistance of 2.1 m, cold resistance that can operate even at 10 degrees below freezing, and load-bearing structure that can withstand a weight of up to 100kgf (weight kilogram).
• A rugged body with aluminum panels, switching modes by simply turning a dial, and an easy-to-operate vertical zoom button. The wide spacing of the buttons on the back makes it easier to handle with the gloves on.
• Uses "outdoor monitor." It can be easily adjusted in two steps to the positive side and in two steps to the negative side depending on the environment, such as brightening dark areas when shooting outdoors on a clear day, and reducing glare when shooting at night. The monitor is easy to see and comfortable to shoot.　
• You can use GPS to simultaneously record location information in shooting data.　In addition to the usual GPS system, it supports the "GLONASS" and the Japanese satellite positioning system Michibiki (QZSS). Furthermore, satellite navigation reinforcement system (SBAS) signals are used to enable stable positioning with high accuracy and low error.
• With FlashAir (SD memory card equipped with wireless LAN), you can transfer photos to a smartphone or other device on the spot.　The camera can now turn the wireless LAN ON/OFF, reducing battery consumption.
