• Calcium fluoride (CaF2) has excellent transmission properties in a wide wavelength range from vacuum ultraviolet (130 nm) to near infrared (8 μm).
• Wide band window using CaF2.
• A CaF2 window plate (OPCFU) for the ultraviolet to infrared region is also available with fewer impurities and crystal defects and higher transmission characteristics in the ultraviolet region.
• CaF2 is more durable against moisture than other crystals and can be handled in the same way as ordinary optical elements.
• Since CaF2 crystals are isotropic, birefringence (polarization property) does not occur.
• * CaF2 crystals may crack due to sudden temperature changes or impact. CaF2 also has low hardness and scratches when in contact with glass or metal.
• * Be careful when handling the device.
• * The ultraviolet/infrared window plate is not coated with an anti-reflection film.
• * The transmittance is about 94% due to the loss caused by surface reflection (3% per surface).
• * Reflected and transmitted wave surfaces are not guaranteed for ultraviolet and infrared window plates.
