- It is used for sealing of high-temperature ducts, etc., for which high tightening surface pressure cannot be taken, because it can be machined in large diameters and has a large amount of compression under low loads.
- Applications: Manholes for exhaust gases, hot air, etc., hand holes, autoclaves, large diameter flanges.
- Exhaust pipes, flue manholes and boiler vents of diesel engines.
