- This is a low drop out (LDO) regulator. (Output 3.3 V1A type) A type of three-terminal regulator that can operate from lower input voltage than a standard three-terminal regulator by keeping the operating voltage of the built-in transistor that controls the output voltage low. In general, the LDO oscillates more easily than the standard three-terminal regulator due to the characteristics of the circuit configuration, and an output capacitor must be installed as a countermeasure. See the data sheet for capacity and notes. This product has TO-220FP package and heat dissipation tab is insulated. Can be used by screwing directly to the radiator, but use silicone grease or silicone rubber sheet to increase heat conduction.
