• Surface roughness was reduced to 0.2 nm (Ra) or less by special polishing of parallel planar substrates.
• It can be used as a substrate for high-power laser mirrors and X-ray mirrors, where the influence of substrate scattering is concerned.
• Use the wedge type when you are concerned about the effect of backside reflection such as a beam splitter.
• CaF2 (calcium fluoride) and MgF2 (magnesium fluoride) have high permeability in the ultraviolet and infrared regions.
• It is a nearly ideal substrate that is machined with high surface roughness (micro irregularities) and high surface accuracy (flatness of the entire surface).
• * Both sides of the low scattering substrate are not coated.
• * The surface of the glass reflects 2.5% to 4%.
• * When the wedge type is used for transmission, the beam is inclined by about 0.5 degrees.
• * CaF2 scratches easily and cannot be wiped with paper.
• * Use an air blower to remove dust and dirt.
• * If CaF2 or MgF2 is left in a high humidity environment for a long time, the surface will become rough.
• * When not in use, store in an environment with low humidity such as auto dry.
