- It is a plate type half mirror that can be used in wide wavelength bands of ultraviolet, visible and infrared.
- Can be used for transmission and reflection branches of multi-wavelength lasers and white light sources.
- The ultra-wideband half-mirror can also be used as an element for spectroscopic measurement.
- Ultra-wideband (PMH) has a wide band that can cover ultraviolet to infrared, and we have a lineup of four types of half mirrors with different band wavelengths.
- Broadband (PSMH) features three types of half mirrors: visible, near-infrared, and communications infrared.
- Since a dielectric multilayer film is used, there is little loss of light due to absorption of the film, and light quantity can be diverged efficiently.
- Since the polarization characteristics are not large, light quantity divergence is possible even when used for laser light sources or linearly polarized light sources.
- Since it is a plate type, the wavelength dispersion and chromatic aberration that occur when the substrate is transmitted are small, and the weight can be reduced.
- There are two types: a parallel plane type, in which the beam does not refract, and a wedge type, in which ghosts and interference due to backside reflections are less affected.
- The wedge type has an arrow pointing toward the surface at the thickest point.
- * When linearly polarized light such as laser light is used, the reflectivity and transmittance vary depending on the polarization direction.
- * When strictly adjusting the branching ratio to 1:1, tilt the polarization azimuth to 45 degrees or use circularly polarized light.
- * Due to the effect of the refractive index and thickness of the substrate, the optical path of the transmitted light is translated by several millimeters relative to the incident light. (In the case of the wedge type, the beam polarization angle of about 30 minutes is added to the translation of the optical path.) * * The transmittance wavelength characteristic changes when used at an incident angle other than 45 degrees.
- * If the reflective coating surface cannot be determined, check with the arrow on the side of the substrate.
- * The phase difference of the incident light is not stored in transmitted light or reflected light.
- * Use a wave plate to compensate for the phase difference.
