• What is S.M.A.R.T. information?
• The S.M.A.R.T. (Smart; Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) is a function installed in hard disk drives for the purpose of early detection of hard disk drive failure and prediction of failure. It self-diagnoses various inspection items and quantifies the status.
• Although it is not possible to predict all failures, this function is effective for detecting failures due to aging degradation in a stable operating environment.
