This product is a portable DVD drive that can be quickly connected when needed.
Simply connect one USB cable to your computer.
In addition, this product is equipped with two functions to eliminate the unstable operation of the DVD drive that occurs when the bus power (power supply) from the USB port of Buffalo's original personal computer is insufficient.
The DVD drive can be used even on PCs that previously could not be used without an AC adapter, thanks to a light LED to indicate power shortages and a Boost cable that can compensate for power shortages with a dedicated cable.
"Notification LED" to notify bus power shortage by LED
When connected to a PC with a weak power supply, the system is equipped with a "notification LED" that indicates power shortage at a glance.
The LED will light green when sufficient power is supplied, and the indicator LED will flash/light red in the unlikely event of a power shortage.
Boost Cable Helps With Low Bus Power
If the notification LED turns red, you can fix the problem with the Boost Cable.
A standard USB cable and a dedicated Boost cable supply power from two USB terminals to solve the bus power shortage.
