The MZM100 Safety switch from Schmersal has a solenoid interlock without a positive-linked mechanical locking mechanism. It uses an electromagnet to generate a 500-N holding force and then transmits the signal interlock locked to the safety-monitoring module. The forced-closed operating principle of the MZM100 switch offers multiple advantages. Mechanical wear becomes a thing of the past because of the absence of moving parts.
