Front Panel Lighting Guide - Rear Mounting
The MENTOR rear mounting lighting guide is designed for use with the front panel.
The rear mounting method allows the head of the light guide to be the same size as the hole in the front panel.
Standard front panel light guides require a larger head than the mounting hole, which is not fully illuminated by the LEDs.
For this reason, the rear mounting light guides have a flat surface and a cleaner appearance.
This family of lighting guides can be mechanically secured by a crack in a slightly larger ring molded into the body.
The recommended minimum thickness for the front panel is 1.5 mm.
Suitable applications for front-panel rear-mounted lighting guides include medical devices, security, communications equipment, and industrial controls.
