- This component, called standing lug as opposed to flat lug, was used as a standard relay point for component mounting and wiring soldering in the vacuum tube era. It is still used today, for example, as a relay point when a lead-wire mounting component such as a sensor or an LED must be placed independently on the edge of the chassis. Since the support of the insulating plate is easy to rotate around the center in one place and the strength of the foot is not so high, especially in the product with many pins, be careful not to swing the pins close to the outside and short out.
