Low protein adsorption minimizes sample loss. It does not emit fluorescence and does not interfere with cell growth because it is not toxic. Because it becomes almost transparent when wet, microorganisms and particles can be captured on the surface of the membrane and observed directly with an optical or electron microscope. Since it is hydrophilic and compatible with most solvents and aqueous solutions, it is suitable for filtration of a wide range of samples.
• The product using the Anopore membrane is the Anodisc membrane filter. The edge of the membrane is bonded to a polypropylene ring (except for the 13 mm diameter type), making it easy to handle and suitable for suction filtration and pressure filtration.
