Features
- This holder safely terminates the beam of a high-power laser or a high-energy pulsed laser.
- The laser light is scattered and absorbed in the beam diffuser and turns into heat.
- Since the incident laser beam is scattered on a conical surface, the light scattered on the incident side can be greatly attenuated.
- BD-40 for small beam diameter (φ5 mm or less) and BD-80 for large diameter beam (φ30 mm or less) are available.
- A high power laser shutter (SHPS) is available that combines an optical path switching shutter and a beam diffuser.
- * When using with a high power laser, the beam diffuser may become very hot.
- * Be careful not to touch the beam diffuser directly.
- * When using with high energy pulsed laser, surface treatment of conical surface may be obtained.
- * The scattering amount will increase slightly, but the performance of the beam diffuser will be maintained as long as the shape of the cone is not deformed.
- * When a high energy pulsed laser that is repeatedly oscillating is injected into the beam diffuser, the beam diffuser may make a tapping sound.
- * This is due to the shock wave generated when the laser changes to heat on the metal surface, not due to the breakage of the beam diffuser.
