- Wide band window using CaF2.
- A CaF2 window plate (OPCFU) for the ultraviolet to infrared region is also available with fewer impurities and crystal defects and higher transmission characteristics in the ultraviolet region.
- CaF2 is more durable against moisture than other crystals and can be handled in the same way as ordinary optical elements.
- Since CaF2 crystals are isotropic, birefringence (polarization property) does not occur.
- * CaF2 crystals may crack due to sudden temperature changes or impact. CaF2 also has low hardness and scratches when in contact with glass or metal.
