- RPB1~3 uses slope reflections as a substitute for mirrors.
- RPB1 uses the critical angle of the prism for the reflection of the slope and is coated with an anti-reflection film on the two surfaces where light enters and exits the prism, RPB2 is coated with a reflection film (Al+MgF2) on the slope so that it can be used even at an incident angle below the critical angle, and RPB3 does not allow light to enter the prism and is reflected on the slope surface.
- RPB4 is used for two-sided reflections sandwiching the top angle (right angle).
- It can be used as a right-angle reference source or when observing two opposing directions simultaneously.
- RPB5 is used to return light at the same angle to the horizontal direction as the incident light.

- * The tolerance is defined by the sides of the triangle formed by the slope and the two bases.
- * When light enters the slope from the air, most of the light escapes to the prism side and only a part of the light is reflected.
- * If light is applied at an incident angle of 41 degrees or less (critical angle or less) from the glass side to the no-coat surface, some light will be transmitted to the air side and total reflection will not occur.
- * Fingerprints and dirt on the no-coat surface may prevent total reflection even above the critical angle.
- * Do not let the no-coat surface come in contact with anything.
- * RPB5 should be used in the range of 0±5.7 degrees against the slope.
- If this setting is exceeded, the camera will not be fully reflected.
- * RPB2 reflects even at angles smaller than the critical angle due to the Al coat, but its reflectivity is 12% lower than that of RPB1.
