- Cylindrical plano-convex lenses (cylindrical plano-convex lenses) have the curvature of a convex lens in the vertical direction and no curvature in the horizontal direction.
- It is used to produce a wide sheet of light used in experiments where laser light is condensed into thin lines and fluid measurements.
- It is a lens made of synthetic quartz that can be used with ultraviolet light below 350 nm and has high laser resistance.
- By using a cylindrical lens in the optical system, the beam shape and the aspect ratio of the illumination light can be deformed.
- A cylindrical lens holder (CHA) is available for fixing cylindrical lenses.
- * Cylindrical plano-convex lenses have chromatic aberration, and the focal length depends on the wavelength.
- Cylindrical plano-convex lenses allow light to enter in certain directions.
- * Be sure to allow parallel light to enter from the convex side.
- Doing so can cause spherical aberration to increase, which in turn can cause condensation lines to become thicker.
- * The transmittance of the uncoated product is about 90% due to the loss caused by the reflection of the front and back of the lens.
