Features

  • Light sources such as halogen lamps and xenon lamps contain strong thermal (infrared) radiation in addition to visible light.
  • Use to extract visible light from these lamps that is not affected by heat radiation.
  • By blocking light in the wide wavelength range from the near infrared to the far infrared, the temperature rise caused by radiant heat can be suppressed.
  • In an optical system such as a microscope, when the light of a lamp is collected at a single point, the temperature of the sample is prevented from being abnormally high by blocking the heat rays.
  • Because of the high transmittance in the visible range, the lamp does not feel dark when the filter is transmitted.
  • If the filter is placed close to a light source, the filter may break due to sudden temperature changes.
  • If the filter is subjected to heat strengthening treatment, the filter will not break easily even if the temperature rises.
  • * Cannot be used for high-power laser or high-energy pulse laser in the absorption wavelength range.
  • * Anti-reflection coat is not applied on both sides.
  • * Reflected light from the front and back causes a transmittance loss of about 10%.
  • * To ensure sufficient absorption of infrared rays, there is absorption at the long wavelength side of the visible range.
  • * This causes the filter's transmission color to appear cyan (light cyan).
