- Many drinking water plants use surface water (Lakes, ponds, rivers, etc.) or groundwater as their source.
- Surface water has low conductivity and generally low mineral content.
- Groundwater filtered through limestone, mafic stone (dolomite), and gypsum has a higher mineral content than surface water.
- There are also groundwater sources with very low mineral content.
- The lower the mineral content, the lower the conductivity, making pH measurement difficult.
- Because pH meters have an electrochemical structure that is influenced by the conductivity of the sample, measuring water with low conductivity is a challenge.
- The FC 215D has 3 ceramic junctions and a special highly sensitive glass electrode membrane, making it easy to measure the pH of sample water with low conductivity, which has been difficult in the past, such as pure water, boiler water, rainwater and tap water.
