  • Abundant surface electrons induce π-π interactions with aromatic rings, leading to strong polar retention and Lewis acidity.
  • Compared to unbonded silica, alumina is more stable at high pH conditions and is suitable for aromatic amine extraction.
  • Alumina is available in acidic (ALA), neutral (ALN), and basic (ALB) formulations and can be selected as appropriate for specific applications.
  • Good retention of electron-rich compounds such as aromatic amines.
  • It is more stable than unbonded silica at high pH conditions.
