  • It is a solid phase consisting of ethylenediamine N-propyl group bonded to silica gel.
  • The primary interaction is anion exchange and the secondary interaction is weak apolar interaction.
  • Similar to NH2 adsorbents, polar interactions and anion exchange retain the target.
  • The primary and secondary amino groups (pKa10.1 and 10.9) provide excellent ion exchange and strong hydrogen bonding.
  • It forms chelate complexes with several metal ions and can be used to concentrate them.
  • Effectively removes acidic interference in food samples.
