When the terminals are crimped, inside the wire, the barrel sawtooth or dimple maximizes the electrical contact area after crimping. The maximum operating temperature of these DIAMOND GRIP STRATO-THERM heat-resistant ring tongue crimping terminals is 343 °C (650 °F).
