• The X5R dielectric series is "metastable" based on a maximum operating temperature of 85°C.
• The capacitance of the X5R over time and voltage is predictable. Also, capacitance variation with ambient temperature is minimized.
• Capacitance fluctuation is limited to ±15% in the range from -55°C to +85°C.
• Application: Bypass and decoupling for frequency discrimination circuit when Q characteristics and stability of capacitance are not important
• C0G dielectrics operate stably at a maximum temperature of 125°C. Capacitance is not affected by changes in voltage and time. These temperatures apply temperature compensation, making them ideal for resonant circuit applications. When Q characteristics and stability of capacitance are required, capacitance fluctuation is limited to ±30ppm/oC in the range from -55°C to +125°C.
