• A filter-integrated filtration vial that does not require assembly and consists of a 0.4 mL chamber and plunger. The plunger has a filtration membrane on the chamber side and a septum cap on the opposite side. When the sample is placed in the chamber and the plunger is pushed in, the pressure filters the sample and the filtrate accumulates in the reservoir of the plunger. Air is evacuated through the vent hole and the evaporation seal (locking ring) is sealed when the plunger is fully pushed in. Mini-Uni is designed to be compatible with 12 mmx32mm vial autosamplers, so pre-treated Mini-Uni can be loaded into the autosampler and HPLC analysis can begin.

• Glass fibers are physically and chemically stable, but there is a possibility that alkali components may leach into aqueous solutions. Biological samples that are sensitive to pH can be affected by the elution of trace alkali components.
