• Clamp pliers are required for installation and removal.　You can use both standard and side jaw clamp pliers, or you can use cable cutters instead.　To install, close one ear fully. The first ear is closed so that it can open slightly.　This increases the elastic strength of the clamp and allows it to withstand shrinkage, pressure, and vibration due to wear and tear and temperature changes.　If you have limited ear access, use side jaw clamp pliers.　A 200 piece kit made of stainless steel and galvanized steel is also available for the O-clip.
