With this configuration, the 810 series board header is half the length of the conventional 2.54 x 2.54 mm connector and has twice the substrate density. This 3 polarity feature consists of 3 polarity bumps on the housing to provide robust alignment when engaged with 820 series sockets. The discharge latch on the 810 series header is designed to be rugged and durable for high performance applications, and the header is included or sold separately. This housing has a full shroud to provide contact protection and is made of high temperature plastic and is suitable for lead-free paste-in-hole soldering.
