• Insulation and Non-Insulation
• Panel mounting type RCA pin jacks, φ3.5 jacks, etc., are divided into "insulation type" and "non-insulation type." What is insulated or uninsulated? When a connector is attached to a panel, it means whether the GND terminal of the connector makes contact with the panel.
• In the case of the insulated type, the GND terminal of the connector is not connected (contacted) with the panel.
• The non-insulated type is electrically connected when the panel is metallic.
• Use an insulated connector when you do not want to create a GND (ground) loop.
• * A GND loop is a loop (circle) of wiring. In particular, a loop of a GND wire is called a "GND loop." When the magnetic flux crosses the loop, a current flows through the GND line, creating a voltage that creates noise. In such cases, breaking the loop prevents noise caused by the interlocking of magnetic flux.
