- The KEMET Organic Capacitor (KO-CAP) is a solid-state electrolytic capacitor with a conductive polymer cathode that provides ultra-low ESR and improved capacitance retention at high frequencies. KO-CAP integrates low-ESR laminated ceramics, high-capacitance aluminum electrolysis and volume-efficient tantalum in a single surface-mount package. Unlike electrolyte-based capacitors, the KO-CAP has a very long operating life and high ripple current tolerance. The T591/T598/T599 High Humidity and High Temperature Polymer Electrolytic Capacitors offer high capacity and excellent ESR stability in extreme environmental conditions. The improved design and choice of materials have resulted in 500 hours (T591) or 1,000 hours (T598, T599) at a rated voltage of 85°C/85% RH and maximum operating temperatures of 125°C and 150°C, respectively. Ultra-Low ESR Tape and Reel Standard Packaged Halogen-Free Epoxy Applications The main applications are decoupling and filtering and are used in a variety of market sectors with a particular focus on the automotive industry. Applications in this area include infotainment, ADAS, chassis, safety, and power trains, where harsh environments such as high humidity and high temperatures are a problem.
