64-9122-01 Universal Gravity Experiment UG C15-3202
Features
- It is an experimental instrument that directly verifies the law of gravitation by observing how large and small lead spheres attract each other and determining the constant of gravitation.
- Although the force applied to the lead spheres is weak, of the order of 10^-9, it can be detected as the movement of the projection point of about 1.6° (about 3 cm when projected to a point 1 m from the mirror) by reflecting the laser beam to the mirror mounted only in torsion.
- The value of the universal gravitation constant G is determined with a high accuracy within 10% for the true value of 6.67×10^-11 N · m^2 · kg^-2.
- You can experiment with two methods: final displacement measurement and acceleration measurement.
- A unique mechanism in which the distance between large and small lead spheres is changed and the inverse square law can be verified.
- Built-in oil damper.
- Data can be obtained after about 20 minutes of measurement.
