  • [Overview]
  • The LM56 is a high-precision, low-power thermostat. Use 3 external resistors to split the LM56 1.250 V bandgap reference voltage and set 2 stable temperature detection voltages (VT1, VT2). The LM56 has 2 digital outputs. OUT1 goes LOW when the temperature exceeds T1, and HIGH when the temperature falls below (T1-THYST). Similarly, OUT2 goes LOW when the temperature exceeds T2 and HIGH when it falls below (T2-THYST). The hysteresis temperature THYST is internally set to 5°C (typ).
  • The LM56 is available in an 8 pin Mini-SO8 surface mount package and an 8 pin small outline package.
