• Overview The LM19 is a high-precision analog output CMOS IC temperature sensor that operates in the temperature range of -55°C to +130°C. The operating range of the power supply is +2.4 V to +5.5 V. The LM19 transfer function is predominantly linear, but there is still a small amount of predictable parabolic curvature. The standard accuracy of LM19 for the parabolic transfer function is ±2.5°C at +30°C room temperature. The temperature error increases linearly, reaching a maximum of ±3.8°C at both extremes of the temperature range. The temperature range is affected by the supply voltage. For 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply voltages, both limits of the temperature range are +130°C and -55°C. When the supply voltage is reduced to 2.4 V, the guaranteed operating temperature range is -30°C to +130°C.
• The LM19 has a standby current consumption of 10 μA (maximum), so that self-heating in still air is extremely low and is kept below 0.02°C. The LM19 itself does not have a special shutdown function, but the low power consumption of the LM19 allows it to be shut down by using a logic gate to power the LM19.
