• SparkFun lightning sensors can be installed at weather stations to detect lightning and ensure that dangerous weather is recognized. The onboard AS3935 is an Austrian AMS device that can detect lightning up to 40 km away with 1 km accuracy using a sensitive antenna tuned to detect lightning in the 500 kHz band. Lightning detectors can reliably exclude various sources of input that can cause false detections by default.
• In addition, you can use a lightning detector library to make your device more robust against noise and false positives.
