• USB Type-C rechargeable lithium polymer (LiPo) battery charger
• This LiPo charger is equipped with a Microchip MCP73833 battery charging controller IC and uses a USB Type-C connector for the input charging connector. When the input voltage is between 3.75 V and 6 V, it can be charged up to a maximum rate of 1000mAh, and 2 types of thermal protection are available. The internal sensor maintains the maximum charge rate until the IC die temperature reaches 95°C, while the charging controller reduces the charge rate to prevent overheating. The MCP73833 also has an optional input pin for the negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor to protect the battery from damage. This board can be used with a single cell LiPo battery with a 2-pin JST connector.
