This ratchet mechanism ensures that the tool only opens once a complete crimp cycle is achieved preventing partial crimps. The ratchet can be adjusted allowing the crimp height to be set for optimum performance. An easy access ratchet release is available for opening the tool jaws at any time during the crimp cycle. The jaws of this hand crimp service tool have a slotted design for the easy installation and removal of crimping dies. The handles have an ergonomic non-slip design.
