• This miniature AMP-IN terminal is designed as a mechanical holding device and is used to assist in soldering a hookup wire to a board. This design reduces the cost of manual wire preparation. Accurately positioning and holding the wire in place at this AMP-IN terminal provides proper solder flow and increases the reliability of the solder joint. The lock lance of the terminals firmly holds the wires of the substrate, and the insulation support provides strain relief to protect the solder joints. This AMP-IN terminal has a low profile height on the substrate, saving space and providing design flexibility.
