• EN50262. Lock nut. Lapp IP68 Bellmouth Cable Gland. From Lapp, this Skintop BT-M cable gland has all the advantages of round-top cable gland, but with a bell-mouthed cable entry. This trumpet shaped opening provides bending protection and anti-kink protection for flexible cables and leads. The cable gland has a robust polyamide construction that ensures a high degree of mechanical stability, and has a variable clamping range that provides optimum strain relief to the connecting cable. With a simple screw-on action, the cable gland is easy-to-fit for reduced assembly times. The cable can be used in panels, junction boxes and machinery housing for excellent protection in cable management. Features and Benefits Anti-Kink and Bending Protection Mechanical Resistance Chemical Resistance Protected to IP68, 5 Bar Operating Temperature Range -20 °C up to +80 °C Applications These cable glands provide environmental resistance and strain relief to machinery and appliances that can be moved in normal use. They are suitable for use when cable connections must be protected against excessive bending as required in accordance with VDE-0700-1, such as; Handheld Appliances Moving Machine Parts Environment The cable gland is sealed to IP68, which means it has excellent protection against dust and particle ingress, and is waterproof even in submersion up to 5 bars of pressure. This means they are suitable for use in harsh industrial environments, and many outdoor applications.
