• TE Connectivity RITS Plug and Socket Connectors. RITS (Remote Input/Output Terminal System) plug and socket connectors with a high density 2.0 mm centreline designed for use as the standard interface connector for sensors. The 4 way RITS connector is approved as the industry standard connector. These RITS connectors have an integrated locking lever for a secure wire to wire connection and can be pulled through a partially jammed wiring duct. An audible click provides assurance of positive mating. The RITS plug connectors feature Chisel Press Contacts. The chisel part of the contact pierces the wire to create a large contact area, no prior wire preparation is required. The press part of the contact keeps the contact pressure applied. Two points of contact provide high contact reliability including under conditions shock and vibration. The cable retention mechanism on the contact retains the wire with a higher retention force than traditional IDC connectors. The housings of these RITS connectors are colour coded to indicate wire size and are semi-transparent enabling visual inspection of the connection.
