• Wurth REDCUBE Direct PCB Plug Terminal. REDCUBE PCB plug terminal for use in high current wire to board connections. These REDCUBE plug terminals consist of a REDCUBE terminal surrounded by a glass fibre reinforced housing. The top of the housing is pushed down and the mating cable connector is plugged in. Once released the spring force locks the connector into place creating a secure mating connection. The compact design of these REDCUBE plug terminals enables them to be mounted in confined spaces. Press-fit terminations on the base of these REDCUBE connectors provide simple and quick processing without the need for extra tooling. The terminal is pressed into the board and high friction between the pin and the plated PCB hole causes a cold-welding process providing a strong gastight mechanical connection. Press-fit terminations offer a more reliable connection than conventional SMD soldering through the elimination of cold solder joints. These REDCUBE PCB plug terminals provide up to 120 A with a low contact resistance which guarantees minimum self-heating and can be used in multiple pluggable solutions. Features and Benefits.
