• Hirose 1.2 mm DF57 Series Swing Lock Crimp Socket Housings. 1.2 mm DF57 series low profile crimp socket housings with a reinforced swing lock design and a unique double locking mechanism for increased cable retention. The swing lock design incorporates both positive and friction locks within the connector body for a secure connection. A positive locking mechanism secures the crimp housing to the header. Moulded lances on the crimp housing engage with the lock portion on the header housing locking it firmly into place for a secure cable connection. Insert key guides on the crimp socket housing help guide the connector into the correct mating position before the positive lock is engaged. This feature helps to prevent mismating and the resulting connector breakage. Once fully engaged the positive lock provides a tactile click for confirmation. When mated the header and socket have a low profile height of 1.4 mm for an effective mating length of 0.42 mm.
