The use of nickel as the electrode material and for the plating process improves the heat resistance of the capacitors, prevents migration and improves solderability. Compared to aluminium electrolytic or tantalum capacitors, these multilayer ceramic capacitors maintain a small case size while offering high rated voltage options. Taiyo Yuden multilayer ceramic capacitors are suitable for use in general electronics equipment including office automation, audio visual equipment and household goods.
