• Kemet 0603C0G and X5R Dielectrics
• The X5R dielectric series exhibits "metastability" based on a maximum operating temperature of 85 °C.
• The variation of X5R capacitance over time and voltage is predictable.
• It also minimizes capacitance fluctuations relative to ambient temperature.
• Capacitance variation is limited to ± 15% in the range of -55 °C → +85 °C. Application: Bypass and decoupling for frequency discrimination circuits when Q characteristics and stability of capacitance are not important
• C0G Dielectrics operate stably at a maximum temperature of 125 °C. Capacitance is not affected by changes in voltage and time These temperatures are best suited for resonant circuit applications because temperature compensation is applied.
• When capacitance Q characteristics and stability are required, capacitance variation is limited to ±30 ppm/oC in the range from -55 °C to +125 °C.
