• The DF40 Series 0.4 mm Board-to-Board and Board-to-FPC header/socket connectors are space-saving designs with high density and low profile. The minimum width of this connector is 3.38 mm, but there is enough space for vacuum pick-and-place mounting. This DF40 series connector is available in a 1.5~4.0 mm stack height type for high-density mounting and a variety of designs. This DF40 series connector contact provides excellent contact reliability with a minimum stack height of 1.5 mm and an effective engagement length of 0.45 mm. Nickel-plated barrier protects the contact from soldering. The 0.4 mm DF40 connector has a locking mechanism to prevent accidental removal. When it is fully engaged, you can feel and hear that it has been engaged. The connector guide ribs allow 0.33 mm self-alignment when engaged. The DF40 connector is reinforced with shock-absorbing ribs to protect against shock and vibration damage. When engaged, the housing of the DF40 connector covers the contact, preventing dust and dirt from sticking to the contact and preventing short circuits. In addition, the SMT leads are placed close to the connectors to prevent foreign objects from short-circuiting the exposed contacts.
